Step 5: Observation and Monitoring

You should keep the pot in the bright, warm area of your house. You should avoid direct sunlight because it can’t tolerate direct sunshine. Maintain the soil moisture by applying water at 2 to 3 days intervals. Excess water is also harmful.

Step 6: Transferring to a New Pot

After one month when proper root growth occurs and you feel there is no space for further growth then you have to change the pot. During transferring, moist the soil first. Make a twist and pull the plant with soil (remove the excess soil by shaking it slowly and carefully).

Before repotting you have to prepare another pot with potting mixture and compost. Take a larger size pot than the previous one. Then place the monstera plant in the new pot. Put a layer of soil in it and apply some water. Carefully observe it up to one week.
